Two beautiful horses are desperately seeking a loving home together! Megan and Casper have been together for sixteen years and are inseparable. They are always together in the field, two happy ponies come rain or shine. Their owner is incredibly dedicated and devoted, but due to ill health cannot look after them over the coming winter. Could you help to ensure these horses get the peaceful home they deserve? Megan is 23 now, 14'2 bay roan cob with lovely deep brown eyes that follow you everywhere. She loves a fuss, particularly a face and ear rub and being groomed. She was 4 when her owner got her for her daughter, and she's done it all! She's been taken to rides in Wales, jumping in Cheshire and would still cope with light work such as quiet hacks. Casper is 29, 15"2 skewbald cob. He's a gentle giant with a calm, friendly attitude. He loves a groom too. He's had a couple of minor health problems from which he's completely recovered from, including having a fatty lump removed from his shoulder 11 years ago. He's a strong and resilient boy who seems to bounce back from everything! Casper recently had a loose tooth removed by dentist Craig Griffiths who's seen both horses every sixth months. Otherwise Casper is a calm and healthy boy who just wants to spent his golden years with his best friend. He wears a sweet itch rug as can be bothered by the flies, but he's improved so much that he's hardly had a reaction in the last 4 years! Both horses ideally need to find a home together before winter. They should have access to 24 hour grazing and shelter, and not exposed to forceful training methods as per the Positive Herd ethos! They will be re-homed through and covered by The Positive Herd Project, which means that you will get continued support and advice should you need it, get a free copy of the Positive Herd Distance Learning Program and access to discounted training and tuition. The horses will also be protected should anything happen in the future. We ask a small adoption fee for the successful applicant, and the home will be subject to home checks. If you think you can offer these two beautiful golden oldies the home they deserve please don't hesitate to get in touch with Beth for more details, or to begin an application. Thank you!
